Albums

The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and several compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards for their work.

Before the formation of Toto, band members did session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in the year 1976 following the collaboration.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics due to not having hit singles. In 1985 the lead singer Fergie Frederiksen left the group and the group held auditions for the new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.
